About Burmmy

Burmmy is a mobile shopping app for Myanmar products in Japan. We're a small team committed to bringing authentic Myanmar food and goods to the Myanmar community in Japan. This policy applies to information collected through our iOS and Android apps.

What Information We Collect

We only collect information necessary to process your orders and provide our services:

• Account Information: Email address, name, phone number, and optionally your birthdate and profile photo
• Login Information: If you sign in with Google, LINE, or Apple, we receive your basic profile from those services
• Shipping Addresses: Your delivery addresses in Japan (name, phone, postal code, prefecture, city, street address)
• Order History: Records of what you've ordered, order status, and delivery tracking
• Payment Confirmation: For bank transfers, you upload a payment slip image as proof of payment. We store this temporarily until your order is confirmed
• Support Messages: Any communications you have with our customer support

What We Don't Collect

We believe in minimal data collection:

• We don't use tracking cookies or web beacons
• We don't collect analytics or track your behavior patterns
• We don't store your full bank account or credit card numbers on our servers
• We don't sell your personal information to anyone

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to: Process and deliver your orders, verify payments, communicate about your orders (shipping updates, delivery notifications), provide customer support when you need help, and improve our app and services.

Who We Share Information With

Yamato Transport: Your name, address, and phone number are shared with Yamato for delivery

Cloud Hosting: Our backend servers are hosted on cloud infrastructure to process and store order data securely

Login Providers: If you use Google, LINE, or Apple login, those services have their own privacy policies

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by Japanese law or court order

How We Store Your Data

Your account credentials are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage. Order and account data is stored on secure cloud servers. We retain your data as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account, we'll remove your personal data within 30 days, except for records we're legally required to keep (like transaction records for tax purposes).

Your Rights

You can: View and edit your profile information in the app, update or delete shipping addresses, request a copy of your data by contacting us, and delete your account (contact customer support).

Children's Privacy

Burmmy is intended for users 18 years and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you're a parent and believe your child has provided us personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app. The "Last updated" date shows when this policy was last revised.
